Hamburg vs Hannover Betting Tips

Hamburg have been in pretty decent form this season, but a number of disappointing results have stopped them from climbing further up the Bundesliga table.

Losses against Bayern Munich and Schalke are no big surprise, but their two other losses against Cologne and Hertha Berlin were disappointing results.

But their four wins and two draws in their other six fixtures give them a total of 14 points from their opening ten games, leaving them in 10^th position in the Bundesliga.

Hamburg will be fairly confident of picking up their 5^th win of the season on Sunday as well, a result which could send them as high as 5^th position in the league.

Hannover are coming into this match on the back of a Bundesliga defeat and a cup exit in midweek.

Their 2-1 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend was their 6^th league defeat of the season, with only two of their other four games seeing them pick up the maximum points.

This leaves them lurking just above the relegation zone, with their eight points leaving them in 15^th position in the Bundesliga.

A loss on Sunday could send them to the bottom of the table, whilst a win would put some distance between them and the drop zone.

Recent history between these two sides has heavily favoured the team with the home advantage. The home team has won all of the last seven fixtures between Hamburg and Hannover.

Hamburg haven’t lost against Hannover on home turf in ten matches either, with six of them ending in victory.

With form and recent history on their side, all fingers point towards Hamburg winning this game on Sunday. The odds look good value as well, with a straight up home victory coming in at impressive odds of 1/1. This, and a 1-0 correct scoreline at 11/2, is where my money is going for this match.
