Hearts vs Partick Predictions, Betting Tips and Match Previews

Hearts’ unbeaten streak came to an end last weekend as they lost 2-0 away to Rangers, and they can have no complaints considering some of their recent performances. They may have been on a six match unbeaten run but they have only won two of their last eight outings.

Dropped points against a number of very beatable sides have left them down in 4th position in the Scottish Premiership and already a huge 16 points adrift of Celtic. They are five points behind Rangers now as well, so this season could be a struggle for them.

In fairness to Hearts they have been a very entertaining side. They have scored 15 goals in their last seven league games and have conceded 12 times at the other end, with there being at least three goals in all but two of these matches.

This is thanks to their extremely well balanced attack. Jamie Walker, Callum Paterson, and Bjoern Maars Johnsen have an impressive 17 league goals between them this season, but with four of Jamie Walker’s goals coming at the Tynecastle Stadium he looks the best shout for our anytime goalscorer predictions at an impressive 3/1.

Fortunately for the hosts they are coming up against a very out of form side on Saturday. Partick’s 4-1 hammering at home to Celtic last weekend made it four defeats and one draw from their last five games. This marked the end of their brief resurgence after a poor start to the season, and back to back wins against Dundee and St Johnstone seem a very long time ago now.

Away from home they are marginally better, but they have struggled coming up against the top opposition so far this season. They have lost against Aberdeen twice, Celtic, Rangers, and Hearts at home so far this season, so I can’t see them getting anything out of this match. Considering Hearts’ high scoring ways I fancy it to be an entertaining game too, so I’m backing a Hearts Win and Over 2.5 Goals at 8/5 along with a 3-1 correct score predictions at 12/1.
