RB Leipzig to Win

Reason for tip

RB Leipzig’s last Bundesliga away defeat was in February with five wins and three draws since then. The Red Bulls can roll over an inconsistent Heidenheim side that lost 3-0 to Freiburg in their last home league game.

RB Leipzig 2-1

Reason for tip

RB Leipzig beat Heidenheim 2-1 home and away last season. The Red Bulls have scored six goals in their last two games and can ease to another 2-1 victory here.

Heidenheim vs RB Leipzig Predictions

  • RB Leipzig’s last Bundesliga away defeat was in February with five wins and three draws since then
  • Heidenheim lost 3-0 to Freiburg in their last home league game
  • Benjamin Sesko has scored five goals in his last four games, including back-to-back braces

Sesko can fire Red Bulls to victory

RB Leipzig can maintain their title challenge when they travel to Heidenheim in the Bundesliga on Sunday afternoon. The Red Bulls were beaten at home by Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday, but their domestic away form is excellent.

Leipzig’s last Bundesliga away defeat was in February with five wins and three draws since then. They have the firepower to rival almost any club in Germany right now with Benjamin Sesko hitting a rich vein of goalscoring form.

The Slovenian has scored five goals in his last four games, including back-to-back braces against Augsburg and Juventus. His partnership with Lois Openda continues to flourish with the Belgian laying on a goal for him in each of the last two matches.

Inconsistent Heidenheim are hard to trust

Heidenheim moved up to sixth place in the standings with a 2-0 win at Mainz last weekend, but they were turned over 3-0 at their Voith-Arena home by Freiburg the week before that.

Inconsistency seems to be a problem for Frank Schmidt’s men, who are adjusting to the demands of playing in Europe this season with all the necessary team changes that involves. They were in better form when they lost 2-1 at home to Marco Rose’s men back in April, having beaten Bayern Munich a fortnight earlier.

Leipzig’s dynamic duo up front should get the goals to ensure the visitors take this one with Heidenheim potentially able to score against a team that often needs multiple goals to seal away wins.
