Hertha Berlin vs Hoffenheim Betting Tips

Hertha Berlin haven’t managed to put together a particularly good run of form as of yet this season, but their inconsistency means that they haven’t suffered a bad run of results yet either.

They haven’t lost more than one game in a row so far, but haven’t won more than two in a row and haven’t remained unbeaten any longer than three games.

Their last match was an away victory against Hannover, which came after they lost 4-1 at home to Borussia Monchengladbach.

This inconsistency has worked for them in the Bundesliga, and they sit in an impressive 4^th position with 20 points from their opening 12 games. A win on Sunday could send them into 3^rd position, whilst a loss could see them drop as low as 8^th.

Hoffenheim have been very consistent. Unfortunately for them it’s been a consistently bad showing from them.

They have only managed one victory in their 13 competitive games so far this season, with seven of those games ending in defeat.

Their 3-1 win against Augsburg seems like a long time ago now, and they have since played five games without a repeat performance.

Three of these have been draws though, which is something positive at least. Despite this they still occupy a relegation position in the Bundesliga, with three points lying between them and safety.

Hoffenheim won the two Bundesliga matches between these sides last season, with Hertha Berlin winning two of the three previous meetings.

I don’t expect Hoffenheim to win this one though. They are out of form and come up against a side who have secured some good results and pushed themselves into the European qualification positions.

Hoffenheim have lost four of their seven away matches in all competitions this season, while Hertha Berlin have emerged victors in three of their last four home fixtures. This makes odds of 1/1 for a Hertha Berlin win look really good value, so I’m backing that along with a 2-0 correct scoreline at 17/2.
