Schalke managed an impressive 3-1 win away to Cologne on Saturday, meaning they picked up back to back wins for the first time since the end of January, with a poor run of five winless matches in between the two back to back successes. They haven’t won three on the bounce since September though.

Hertha Berlin’s home record has been the key to their success this season. They are on an eight match unbeaten streak on home turf and have only lost one match there all season. Eight of their 13 home matches have ended in victory as well, so they will feel fairly confident on Friday.

Schalke haven’t been particularly bad away from home, but they have lost five of their 12 away days. Winning matches seems to be even more of a problem, with only four of their last 13 matches on the road ending in victory.
