Honka’s road form still sound enough to win 

Honka travel to face HIFK in Helsinki on Tuesday with the aim of recording a second win in a week.

The team from Espoo have made a disappointing start to the season in Finland and currently sit four places below HIFK, who occupy the same fourth position that Honka finished in last season.

That placing, which earned Honka a spot in the Europa Conference League first qualifying round, was built on superb away form as Vesa Vasara’s side lost only once on their travels all season.

Vasara’s side got back to winning ways at basement club Oulu last time out and may have turned a corner as far as their results away from home are concerned.

Their two-goal tally against HJK shows they still have the ability to trouble good teams on their travels and Tuesday’s opponents are coming off a 4-1 mauling in their last match on home turf.

Therefore, our forecast here is for Honka to score at least twice – something they have achieved in four of their last six away matches going back to last season.

In terms of a correct score play, a 3-1 road win for Vasara’s team appeals here because two of their last four road wins have been by this scoreline and HIFK have scored in their last seven home games.
