Hobro vs FC Copenhagen Predictions
This hasn’t been the best start to the campaign for Copenhagen, but can they turn things around with a victory at Hobro on Monday night? They have a lot of work to do in order to repeat last season’s fourth placed finish, following a disappointing opening day loss at home to Horsens. They are now under pressure from the off in this campaign, although the hosts aren’t in a great position either. Can either of these jump-start their campaign by taking all three points in the final Superliga clash of the weekend?
The hosts started their season on the back of a 3-1 loss at Vejle, the newly promoted side. That’s not a great way to start after slipping in to the relegation group in the previous campaign. However, does their opening home game of the weekend provide an opportunity? They secured the majority of their points at home last season, and they’ll be out to use home advantage to get their campaign back on course.
Meanwhile, the visitors have yet to impress in their opening three games of the season. Not only did they lose their opener, but they drew with KuPS in the Europa League in midweek. That 1-1 draw brought a narrow 2-1 win on aggregate, but Copenhagen are going to have to shape up in order to go far in Europe. They’re also going to need to improve if they’re to get out of this trip with anything, based on some poor away form last season.
The visitors conceded 1.39 goals per game on the road last term, and those defensive issues were a blow as they struggled to match their scoring rate at home. With 65% of the goals they scored coming at their own ground, they were often left short on their travels. That meant that they dropped too many points away from home, as they lost nine of their 18 away trips.
Copenhagen claimed just 36% of their points last season on the road, and they come here on the back of a defeat. Hobro managed to win their final three home games at the end of the previous campaign, and they will be out to take advantage of a side who struggled through a tough 90 minutes in Europe in midweek. With the visitors failing to win 67% of their away trips last term, and just one of their last six in the league, we think Hobro are value on the double chance market.
