Hoffenheim vs Hamburger Betting Tips

Hoffenheim started the season badly, with a 2-0 loss to 1860 Munchen sending them crashing out of the DFP Pokal at the first available opportunity.

This was just the first in a long line of disappointments though. They went on to lose four of their first five Bundesliga matches, and so far they have won one, drawn three, and lost five of their opening nine league matches.

Unsurprisingly, this leaves Hoffenheim in the depths of the Bundesliga relegation zone in 17^th position with just six points. A win on Friday could see them move up to 13^th place ahead of the rest of the weekend’s fixtures.

Hamburger are enjoying a better start to their season, but it’s not been mind blowing by any stretch of the imagination.

They accumulated ten points from their opening six Bundesliga matches. But since then they have gone off the boil a bit, picking up just one from a possible nine points.

Their 1-0 loss against Schalke was to be expected, and an in form Hertha Berlin beating them at home isn’t much to worry about either. Their last match saw them pick up a point against Eintracht Frankfurt as well.

These results aren’t anything to be ashamed of to be honest, and they have proven their winning capabilities against Borussia Monchengladbach, Stuttgart, and Ingolstadt so far this season. These are all struggling sides, but then again so are Hoffenheim.

Considering that five of Hoffenheim’s last six games have ended with three or more goals, odds of 8/11 for Over 2.5 Match Goals look like a fair price, but I think there is more value to be found in backing the visitors.

Hoffenheim have only managed one win so far this season, and Hamburger have already proved that they can beat the struggling sides in the Bundesliga. This makes odds of 4/5 for a Hamburger Win or Draw Double Chance look really good value.
