Tip Reasoning

  • Birmingham City have won two of their last three league games.
  • The Blues have lost just four of their 16 away trips in the Championship this season (W5, D7).
  • Huddersfield have won just one of their last 11 league matches, losing eight.
  • Birmingham ran out 2-1 winners at St Andrews in October’s reverse fixture.

Blues can turn over hapless Terriers

Birmingham have largely been a team to avoid for punters this season, but the Blues look worth siding with this Tuesday when they take on a Huddersfield Town side in freefall.

The Blues bagged a huge three points when beating QPR 2-1 at the weekend – a result which ended a miserable run of 12 home league games without a win.

The victory also made it two wins in three for Aitor Karanka’s charges whose 1-3 defeat to leaders Norwich a week ago can be excused, and the Blues rate a decent bet in the draw no bet market for their trip to the John Smith’s Stadium after losing just four of their 16 outings on the road this term (W5, D7).

City also beat the Town 2-1 in October’s reverse fixture which will give them added impetus here, and the hosts are in dire straits after winning just one and losing eight of their last 11 Championship matches including a 3-0 hammering at Preston on Saturday.

A draw no bet wager offers the insurance of stakes returned should this one finish all square, however, we think the visitors can nick this one via another 1-2 score-line to leapfrog the stricken Terriers in the league table.
