      Tip Reasoning

The Rams have only lost once in the Championship this season, which is fewer than everyone except for leaders Brighton but too many early season draws has cost them a more commanding position in the table.

Their form has been much improved of late with 5 wins coming from their last 7 matches but there were signs of their frustrating early season ways on Wednesday when they struggled to break down Blackburn and ended up drawing the match 0-0.

This won’t be easy either against a Huddersfield side who are also in good form having lost just 1 of their last 6 in the league to move away from danger and there have been 3 wins in that time too.

They are tough to beat at the John Smith’s Stadium and have taken 7 points from their last 3 matches there with comfortable wins coming against Bolton and MK Dons. Their overall record at the stadium stretches to just 1 defeat in 9 outings and leaders Brighton are among the sides to have visited this year and failed to win so the Terriers look good value to get something out of this game at 4/5.

One of those 9 matches was against Derby at the back end of last season and it ended in a thrilling 4-4 draw, which did little for County’s promotion ambitons but was an entertaining game for the neutrals in any case.

It is highly unlikely we’ll see a repeat here with both sides looking a bit better defensively now but we should still see an open game as Derby will come here looking for the win and Huddersfield aren’t one of those sides that sits back against the better teams and plays for a draw.

Therefore a couple of goals at each end could be on the cards and you can back it to finish 2-2 at 12/1.
