Huddersfield vs Fulham Predictions
This game sees the sides in 4th and 6th meet and there’s a strong chance the pair could clash again in the play-offs next month. Both sides have been scoring goals of late and this promises to be a really good game with goals at both ends.
Fulham matches in particular have provided plenty of entertainment of late. They come into it following three straight 3-1 wins. There have been over 2.5 goals and both teams have scored in 7 of their last 8 matches. Only their away game at rock bottom Rotherham bucked that trend when they managed a relatively rare clean sheet.
The West Londoners have been improving as the season has progressed and Fulham fans will be hoping they’ve timed it just right to gatecrash the play-offs and head into those games with real momentum. With 1.81 goals scored per game, they now have the best goalscoring record in the league and that certainly bodes well heading into this one.
Huddersfield aren’t bad defensively by any means but they’ve not kept that many clean sheets. Both teams have scored in 62% of their home games this season and they’ve conceded in 74% of their league outings so it’s hard to see them shutting a confident Fulham side out. The Terriers have netted in 90% of their home games though and average a very respectable 1.57 goals per game at home.
David Wagner’s side have the 3rd best home record in the league with a 71% win ratio at the John Smith’s Stadium. However Fulham boast the 3rd best away record with 48% of their away matches ending in victory so both sides will approach this with confidence.
With a game in hand on all the sides around them and a 5 point advantage on 7th place Leeds, Huddersfield will probably feel they can afford to take a risk here and go for the 3 points that would keep their automatic promotion hopes alive. Fulham will know anything short of 3 points could see them drop out of the top six though and will be aiming for maximum points too so we should see an open game between two positive sides.
There are a whole host of players capable of getting on the scoresheet in this game. One of those is certainly Fulham’s Floyd Ayite. With 4 goals in his last 4 games and 9 from only 20 starts this term, backing Ayite to score anytime at 11/4 looks very good here.
Certainly most things point to this match producing a few goals and that also makes backing Over 2.5 Goals & Both Teams to Score at Evens look like the value bet.
