Huddersfield Draw No Bet

Reason for tip

Huddersfield have lost just once in their last seven at home, while they’ve been beaten in one of their last eight league games as they scrap for survival. The hosts should have the motivation edge on Thursday as a win keeps them up, while the Blades have nothing to play for. With Neil Warnock winning his last three home meetings with Sheffield United, back his side for the points.

Huddersfield 2-1

Reason for tip

Huddersfield have seen both teams score in five of their last six games, while Sheffield United have found the net in 82% of their league games this term. Four of the Terriers’ last five league wins have seen both teams score, including two 2-1 victories.

Huddersfield vs Sheffield United Predictions

  • Neil Warnock has won his last three home clashes against Sheffield United
  • Huddersfield have lost once across their last eight Championship games
  • Sheffield United have nothing to play for and haven’t completed a league double over the Terriers since 1961

Reunion for Warnock

Neil Warnock meets his former side Sheffield United on Thursday night as he chases a result which could secure Championship survival for his current one.

The Blades have already won promotion to the Premier League and have little left to fight for in their last two games with the title already gone. That lack of motivation could cost them, as they meet a Huddersfield sude who have been battling for their lives in recent weeks.

Warnock should be confident of a result over his former side, given his excellent record against them. He has won each of his last three home league games against Sheffield United by an aggregate score of 7-0, all with different clubs.

Terriers to finish on a high

Huddersfield have only lost one of their last seven home league games, while they’ve scored as many goals in their last three at home (7) as they had in the previous 11.

The hosts put themselves on the verge of safety with a 2-1 victory at Cardiff on Sunday and with only one loss across their last eight Championship games they have hit form at the perfect time.

Sheffield United could complete a league double over Huddersfield for the first time since 1961, but it’s hard to see how much motivation they’d have to do it. The hosts are scrapping for their lives and sit fifth in the Championship’s form table, so back them Draw No Bet, with a 2-1 win my correct score prediction.
