Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Both teams have scored in three successive Hull home matches, while they have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 13 outings at the MKM Arena. Blackpool meanwhile have seen both teams net in four of their last five on the road, as well as seven of their last 11 at all venues

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

These two teams have drawn both their games since the return from the World Cup, with Hull having a 1-1 stalemate against Sunderland last time out, the third straight home fixture when they have netted exactly once. Blackpool meanwhile drew 1-1 with Cardiff in their most recent game, the fourth time in seven outings they have conceded exactly once

Hull City vs Blackpool Predictions

  • Three successive Hull home games have seen both teams score
  • Both teams have netted in seven of Blackpool’s last 11 fixtures
  • Blackpool are on a run of just two defeats in their last six outings on the road

Tigers still searching for consistency

Hull have drawn both their games since their return from the break for the World Cup, firstly 0-0 at Watford before netting a late equaliser in a 1-1 stalemate with Sunderland.

There have been some positive signs of improvement for Liam Rosenior, but his side have now won just one of their last nine at the MKM Arena, with both teams scoring in the most recent three of those outings.

Indeed, the Tigers defence remains a major issue, with their 39 goals conceding the most in the division, and including a run of 13 home league fixtures without a clean sheet.

Blackpool in trouble

Michael Appleton is under increased pressure at Blackpool, who are on a run of just three wins in their last 15 games, with six of the most recent ten of those outings seeing both teams net.

That run of form means the Tangerines are lodged inside the relegation zone, while they too are having issues at the back, keeping just one clean sheet in their last 11 fixtures.

They haven’t been too bad on the road though, with both teams scoring in four of the last five, while they have lost just two of their last six on their travels.

I predict that both teams will score in this game as well, but I expect the match to end all square, with 1-1 my correct score prediction.
