      Reason for tip

Hull extended their winning streak to three by beating Leicester 2-1 on Tuesday while Charlton beat Ipswich 3-0 on the same evening. Both of these sides are in form and punching well above their weight, so expect them to cancel each other out on Saturday.

      Draw 1-1

      Reason for tip

Charlton’s priority is usually keeping a clean sheet but they released the handbrake on Tuesday, putting three past Ipswich. A similar approach could yield a point at the MKM but with both teams scoring in seven of Hull’s last eight matches, a 1-1 draw seems a likely outcome.

      Hull City vs Charlton Predictions

      • Hull have won three games in a row
      • Charlton have lost just one of their last seven matches
      • Both teams to score has been a winning bet in seven of Hull’s last eight games

In-form sides set for a stalemate

A 2-1 victory over Leicester would be the Championship’s result of the day on most occasions, but Hull’s triumph on Tuesday was trumped by their next opponents, Charlton.

The Addicks landed a sensational 3-0 victory over pre-season title favourites Ipswich at Portman Road to make it one loss in seven for Nathan Jones’ men.

With Hull’s win over the Foxes making it three victories on the spin for the Tigers, both of these sides are in fine form and could be tough to separate at the MKM Stadium on Saturday.

Addicks and Tigers tough to split

Jones’ Charlton are all about being tough to break down and that has seen them lose just two of their six Championship away games.

They should stand firm to earn a point at the MKM, where Hull are on a four-game unbeaten run which also includes a victory over Southampton.

Although defence is their priority, Charlton demonstrated their attacking threat when putting three past Ipswich on Tuesday, so correct-score backers should consider a 1-1 draw as the in-form pair are both fancied to find the net.
