Hull can take advantage of wounded Rams

Derby look set for a tough season and the Rams go into their game against Hull on Wednesday on the back of a demoralising 2-1 loss at Peterborough.

Wayne Rooney’s troops appeared on course to pick up all three points but two injury time goals from Posh ensured they left with nothing.

Hull kicked off their return to the second tier with a 4-1 thrashing of Preston at Deepdale but have since been knocked out of the EFL Cup by Wigan and were well beaten in a 3-0 home defeat to QPR at the weekend.

However, QPR look like potential promotion contenders this season and we feel the Tigers can get off the mark at home with a victory over relegation candidates Derby on Wednesday.  Hull had a strong record at home last term with 46 points from 23 games in League One, and they can take advantage of any dip in Derby confidence following that loss to Peterborough.

Hull are yet to keep a clean sheet and Derby have at least scored in all three of their games so far, so we’re going for a 3-1 home win in the correct score market.
