Hull vs West Brom Predictions

Hull returned to their awful form last weekend as they succumbed to a dreadful 3-0 loss away to Sunderland, just six days after they managed an heroic 2-1 win over Southampton.

This makes it six defeats in their last eight outings in all competitions and seven out of their last eight Premier League games. They were expected to struggle at the start of the season, but after a blistering start saw them beat Premier League champions Leicester. Hull fans will now be disappointed to find their team down in 18th.

At home Hull will certainly be hoping for a better showing than last weekend, and against a West Brom side who have only kept one clean sheet in their last nine matches star player Robert Snodgrass will be hoping to add to his four goal tally. Three of these four goals have come in six appearances at the KCOM as well, so backing him to score anytime at 10/3 could prove an excellent choice for our anytime goalscorer predictions.

I wouldn’t count on Hull keeping a clean sheet though. They have conceded in all but one of their Premier League matches so far this term and have the worst defensive record in the league. They have conceded 11 home goals in the Premier League as well, whilst West Brom have found the net in ten of their 13 matches in all competitions this season.

Nacer Chadli and Salomon Rondon have been the driving force behind West Brom’s successful attacking season, but the former is a minor doubt and is unlikely to play the full 90 minutes. As a result of this it’s best to back Salomon Rondon to add to his four Premier League goals at odds of 7/4.

The striker will be a big threat from set plays, which is bad news for Hull who have conceded five goals from set pieces this season, whilst West Brom have scored almost half of their goals from set play situations.

On the balance of things I’m expecting both teams to find the net on Saturday, so I’m backing that at excellent odds of 19/20, along with a 2-1 win for West Brom at 10/1 for my correct score predictions.
