IK Brage vs Trelleborg Predictions

Brage could move into the top three with a win at home to Trelleborg on Saturday, but the hosts have failed to win their last three league games, all of which have come against teams below them in the table. Trelleborg arrive unbeaten in their last four Superettan matches but have never beaten Brage before and a win this weekend would bring them level with their hosts on eighteen points.

Brage had 59% of the overall possession and had more shots during the ninety minutes at home to Orgryte on Tuesday, but ended up losing the game to a solitary first-half goal from Ludwigson. Trelleborg and Degerfors played out a fairly even ninety minutes at Vångavallen last weekend, where the hosts had less of the possession but created more goal-scoring opportunities and the game ended goalless. The two teams went into the game on level points and the overall performance from both sides just showed how little there is between the two clubs this season.

The head to head record between Borge and Trelleborg, and the pair’s performances in the Superettan over the last month or so, all point towards Saturday’s game ending in a draw. Three of the four meetings between these two clubs have ended in draws and each of those stalemates have seen both teams score. Brage have drawn two of their last six matches, while Trelleborg have drawn two of their last three in the Superettan. Brage are without a win in their last three matches and Trelleborg are unbeaten in their last four matches, which is another reason why we are backing a 1-1 draw between the pair this weekend.

Lundin top scores for the hosts with seven league goals this season, while Jovanovic has scored four times in the Superettan for Trelleborg. We’re confident that Saturday’s game will end in a draw and have predicted a final scoreline of 1-1. The majority of the pairs previous encounters have ended in draws, and while Brage sit higher in the table and have the home advantage, it’s Trelleborg that head into the match as the form favourites and is why we’re backing Saturday’s game to end in a stalemate.
