Inter Milan to Win

Reason for tip

Serie A leaders Inter Milan have won five straight games and 19 of their 24 Serie A matches this term, suggesting they are far too strong for a Juventus side who have managed just one victory in four. The returns of Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu only further boost the hosts’ chances and anything other than a Nerazzurri win would represent a major shock.

Inter Milan 2-0

Reason for tip

Juventus edged a thriller 4-3 when these sides met in Turin in September but Inter have won 18 of their 21 Serie A games since and should control things at the San Siro. The Nerazzurri have won four of their last six Serie A matches to nil and can prevail 2-0 for the third time in five games.

Inter Milan vs Juventus Predictions

  • Inter Milan have won five straight games, scoring 17 goals in the process
  • Juventus have won just one of their last four matches
  • Two of the last three head-to-heads have seen the ball hit the net at least six times but under 2.5 goals had been a winning bet in the previous six Derby d’Italias

Serie A leaders look set for another victory

Missing out on retaining their Serie A title on the final day of last season has only awoken the beast that is Inter Milan, and that is terrible news for the rest of the league, including their next opponents Juventus.

The summer departure of influential manager Simone Inzaghi could have left the Nerazzurri in trouble but former defender Christian Chivu has expertly picked up the pieces and Inter now hold an eight-point lead at the Serie A summit.

Rivals AC Milan do have a game in hand but they face a tough task catching Chivu’s red-hot side, who have smashed in 17 goals and conceded just three while winning their last five matches in all competitions.

Juve may struggle to get near Nerazzurri

Inter again look like the best team in Italy and while Juventus have improved markedly since replacing Igor Tudor with Luciano Spalletti, they are still some way off the level of Saturday’s hosts.

Juve had started the year brightly, beating Benfica and Napoli to nil in their two most impressive performances, but have since regressed, winning just one of their last four and losing 3-0 to Atlanta on their most recent away day.

Inter are further boosted by the returns of world-class midfielders Hakan Calhanoglu and Nicolo Barella and they can sweep aside the Old Lady with ease.
