Inverness CT vs Hearts Predictions
Inverness managed to break out of their winless streak a few weeks ago when they beat Ross County 3-0 away from home, and another win against Dundee United on Saturday saw them pick up six points from a possible nine in the last month or so.
This has lifted them seven points clear of the relegation playoff position in the Scottish Premiership, and a win on Tuesday would send them up to 7th in the table just before the league splits into two halves for the remaining matches of the season.
Before these two wins Inverness CT had failed to win in seven matches in all competitions, and with both of these victories being away from home they still come into this match having lost their last three home games.
Hearts got a win against Aberdeen at the weekend to close the gap between them and the 2nd placed side to nine points, but the major story was the eight point gulf that opened up between Celtic and Aberdeen as a result of Hearts’ victory.
This stopped Hearts extending their back to back defeats in the Scottish Premiership and took their recent record to five wins and two defeats in their last seven matches.
Before their trio of home defeats Inverness CT were actually fairly solid on home turf. They had been on a six match unbeaten streak at home, and Hearts have only won two of their last ten away days in all competitions.
Both teams defensive records are pretty poor coming into this game, which has resulted in some high scoring games recently. Inverness CT have seen six of their last ten home matches end with at least three goals scored, while Hearts have seen more than two goals scored in four of their last seven away days. While not overwhelming, this statistics does make odds of 21/20 for Over 2.5 Goals pretty valuable. I’m going for that along with a 2-1 Inverness CT win at 10/1.
