Ipswich to Win

Reason for tip

Ipswich are yet to pick up a Premier League victory but Saturday’s game is perhaps their best chance so far. The Tractor Boys’ return of two points from three home games isn’t too bad considering who they have hosted (Liverpool, Fulham and Villa) and they are facing an Everton outfit who have just one point from three trips. Ipswich were arguably unfortunate not to beat Villa in their last home game and a similar display may be enough to overcome relegation rivals Everton.

Ipswich 2-1

Reason for tip

Ipswich have struggled for clean sheets so Everton should be able to get on the scoresheet. The visitors have shipped eight goals in just three trips, so take a chance on a 2-1 win for the home side.

Liam Delap To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Liam Delap has made an excellent start to the season with four goals in seven games, with three of those coming at Portman Road, and the Ipswich forward is the standout pick for an anytime effort.

Ipswich vs Everton Predictions

  • Everton have two defeats in three trips (D1).
  • Ipswich impressed against Aston Villa in their last home game.
  • Liam Delap has four goals in seven Premier League games.

Ipswich seeking first win

Ipswich are one of four Premier League teams yet to record a victory and the visit of fellow strugglers Everton looks like a perfect chance for the Tractor Boys to get off the mark.

The visitors have improved of late, as after opening the season with four straight defeats they have five points to show from their last three games.

However, most of Everton’s success has come at home and they have just one point to show from three trips, and Ipswich should be fired up for this encounter as they bid to end their winless start.

Home results key for Ipswich

If Ipswich are to stand any chance of avoiding an immediate return to the Championship they need to make the most of their home games.

A return of two points from three games isn’t terrible for Kieran McKenna’s side considering the level of teams they have hosted, as they have lost to Liverpool and drawn with Fulham and Aston Villa, so they should head into this game confident they can get a result.

The Tractor Boys were perhaps unlucky not to claim all three points against Villa as they were the team pressing for large periods, and that performance suggests they may be able to edge out Everton.

A 2-1 home win is the correct score pick as this game is likely to be close, but Everton have conceded eight goals in just three trips and as such Ipswich may be able to strike twice against the Toffees.

Home striker Liam Delap has made an excellent start to the season with four goals in seven games, with three of those coming at Portman Road, and he is the standout pick for an anytime effort.
