Ipswich vs QPR Predictions
Ipswich have been in decent form and have fought their way back up to 6th place after a troublesome Autumn. They’ve won 5 of their last 8 matches and have only lost 2 of their last 10 in the league, however most of their good work has been done on the road and at Portman Road they remain unconvincing.
The Suffolk club have lost their last two home games against Middlesbrough and Derby and have only lost 1 of their last 9 home matches and that came against bottom club Bolton. For that reason alone QPR start to look good value at 3/4 to avoid defeat here.
QPR have become a much tougher side to beat since Chris Ramsey left the club with both Neil Warnock and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink managing to get a positive reaction out of this squad which is not lacking in quality especially at this level.
They are unbeaten in 5 matches now and have only conceded 6 times in their last 11 outings, an enormous improvement on the first few months of the season when they were awful defensively. However they have looked less threatening at the other end and Hasselbaink is still looking for his first win having drawn all 3 matches so far.
There isn’t an awful amount to choose between these sides and both are likely to be contenders for the last couple of play-off places come May. With QPR drawing plenty and given 5 of the last 8 matches at Portman Road have also finished all square backing this to finish 1-1 at 11/2 might be a smart move here.
