      Ipswich vs Wolves Predictions

Ipswich just pipped Wolves to a play-off place last season but both clubs appear to have gone backwards rather than forwards this summer. Ipswich had been going through a difficult 8 match winless run before heading into the international break with back-to-back victories.

Those wins were admittedly against the bottom two but a 2-0 win over Bolton and a thumping 5-2 victory at Rotherham will mean they will approach this game with plenty of confidence and an eye for a goal once more.
Wolves meanwhile have been a complete mixed bag all season. Their last 3 matches almost sum it up. First came an excellent 2-0 win at high-flying local rivals Birmingham but just 3 days later they slumped to defeat against struggling Bristol City. They headed into the international break with a solid home point against Burnley but inconsistency continues to haunt them.

Given Ipswich are at home and given they netted 5 last time out which included a hat-trick and perhaps a return to form for last season’s Championship top scorer Daryl Murphy, it would be big surprise if they failed to score in this match.

Wolves meanwhile are usually a fairly positive side and prior to their defeat at Ashton Gate, they’d scored twice or more in each of their previous 3 away games. Therefore certainly odds of 4/5 seem appealing for backing both teams to net in this match.

Wanderers have only won 5 times all season though and an Ipswich side whose confidence seems to have returned after 4 unbeaten matches are worth a punt at 8/1 to win this game 2-1.
