Juangsu Suning vs Guangzhou Evergrande Predictions & Betting Tips, Match Previews

The race for the Chinese Super League title ended on Sunday as Guangzhou Evergrande earned a point at home to Yanbian Funde, which extended their lead at the top of the table to seven points with just two games remaining after Jiangsu Suning’s draw on Saturday.

This saw Guangzhou Evergrande lift the title for the 6th year running in China, although Jiangsu Suning did push them hard this season after a big spending season. It could be very different next term.

The arrivals of players such as Alex Teixeira and Ramires put the Chinese Super League on the map, and these world stars haven’t failed to produce. Teixeira has been the main threat for them with 11 Super League goals in his 27 appearances. Seven of these came in his 13 home appearances as well, and he has bagged five goals in his last five Super League appearances. Backing him to get on the scoresheet again at 2/1 looks very good value considering his recent form.

Jiangsu Suning’s draw at the weekend made it seven wins, one draw, and one defeat in their last nine outings in all competitions. However, it’s their summer form that has lost them the title, as they went on multiple winless streaks to allow Guangzhou Evergrande to put a lead together at the top of the table.

The visitors haven’t actually been in the best of form recently, but they remain incredibly difficult to beat and already had a comfortable enough lead to see the title through. Guangzhou Evergrande’s 1-1 draw at home on Sunday made it four wins, five draws, and one defeat in their last ten outings in all competitions.

Star striker Ricardo Goulart only managed an assist in this game, but he netted a brace in their 6-0 win last weekend to take his season tally to 17 goals in 27 appearances. Nine of these have come away from home as well and he has scored four in his last five trips away. Considering this excellent form, odds of 11/8 for him to score anytime don’t look too bad at all.

Both of these sides have averaged 2.21 goals per game in their respective home and away matches, with them failing to score in just 7% of their home and away games this season. They may both be fairly solid at the back, but it’s no secret that the Chinese Super League is very attack minded due to their big money offensive signings.

This may not have any bearing on the final league results, but these two contest the two-legged Chinese FA Cup Final next month and will be keen to get a psychological advantage.
