Kilmarnock vs Motherwell Predictions
- Kilmarnock has scored eight goals in their last five home games and has only failed to score once.
- Motherwell has scored at least once in six of their eight away fixtures this season and has scored just once in three of their last five.
- Killie has lost just one of their nine home ties this season and is undefeated in their last eight.
Solid Kilmarnock at Rugby Park
Kilmarnock continued their extended their winless run to four games last week when they lost 1-0 to Ross County away from home and the club is also in a goal drought, failing to score in any of their last trio of matches.
However, Killie recent form isn’t the same at Rugby Park, where they’ve won three of their last five fixtures. Angelo Alessio’s side has done well in defence, conceding just three goals in those matches as well as keeping a clean sheet on three occasions. Moreover, the Ayrshire club has netted eight goals in their last five and only failing to score once.
Steelmen struggle on the road
Motherwell’s three-game winning streak was brought to an end last week as Stephen Robinson’s side wasn’t able to overcome an in-form Rangers team. However, it was the Steelmen’s first loss away since late-November.
Despite suffering three defeats in their last five away days, Motherwell has done well to score at least once in four of those matches, although they’ve only scored once on three occasions. Moreover, the Steelmen have scored in six of their eight away ties so far- failing to score against Livingston and Celtic.
Killie to keep their form up
Kilmarnock comes into this game in great form on home turf, and they are currently undefeated in any of their last eight games at Rugby Park. The club has also won three of their last five, which is why we’re backing them to win here, as Motherwell has also struggled on their travels by losing three times in their last four away fixtures. We’re also going for a final score of 2-1 to Killie, as the visitors have scored at least one goal in six of their eight away games- scoring exactly one goal in three of their previous five.
