Odd can overcome doomed KBK 

Odd can continue their superb away run with a win at rock bottom Kristiansund on Sunday as the hosts look doomed to relegation already. KBK remain stuck on one point after 12 Eliteserien rounds and eight consecutive defeats.

Christian Michelsen’s side took the lead early in the second half away to Viking last Sunday, but conceded the leveller soon after, from which point on it seemed inevitable that they would lose.

The coach has chopped and changed his goalkeepers this term, but the problem seems to lie ahead of whoever wears the gloves as KBK are too easy to play against and don’t spot when and where the danger is coming.

Odd were unlucky not to take something from their clash with title-chasing Lillestrom last weekend when a stoppage-time goal from a corner settled it. The good news for Pål Arne Johansen is that his two best players this season, who have been sold to Sparta Rotterdam, are available for this game.

That should dispel any concerns that Odd’s excellent away run is in danger of coming to an end. It’s been built on a  much-improved defensive record with the Skien-based club keeping three clean sheets in their last four road trips.
