      Reason for tip

Charleroi have not quite managed to get going this season and they could find top-flight new boys La Louviere difficult to overcome in their third match of the Belgian league campaign.

      Draw 1-1

      Reason for tip

Louviere have yet to find the net in their two games this season and this looks likely to be another tight game, but last season’s Challenge League runners-up are capable of earning a 1-1 draw.

      La Louviere vs Charleroi Predictions

      • Both teams have scored in seven of Charleroi’s last eight matches
      • Charleroi have lost one of their last eight away games
      • Both of La Louviere’s league games back in the top flight have featured fewer than three goals

New boys looking to prove their worth

La Louviere have found life after gaining promotion to the Belgian top flight, but there looks a decent chance they will get their first point of the campaign when they host Charleroi on Sunday.

The new boys have fallen to defeats to Gent and Standard Liege in their opening two matches, but they have not given poor accounts and they should be confident that they can turn things around on their own patch, where they lost just once in the second division last season.

They lost just three games in the whole of last term, finishing level on points with champions Zulte Waregem, and they come up against a Charleroi team who may not be able to shake themselves free from a string of draws.

Charleroi struggling to find magic touch

Charleroi booked a place in the Conference League this season, but they have already been knocked out having lost to Swedish side Hammarby in extra-time of their qualifier, and it has been a case that they haven’t been able to get over the line.

Their last four matches have all ended in draws, including last week’s 1-1 with Sint-Truiden when they had to play the last 25 minutes with ten men after goalscorer Nikola Stulic was sent off.

There is just a sense that they haven’;t got going and they may not be able to break their run of stalemates against a team determined to prove they are worthy of a place at the top table and, with this likely to be a tight game, 1-1 appeals from a correct-score perspective.
