Las Palmas vs Eibar Betting Tips

This is a good opportunity for both clubs to make a rare venture deep into the latter stages of the Copa del Rey but it is Las Palmas who are better placed to do that. They won the 1st leg 3-2 in the Basque Country last week with Momo netting a late winner after Izet Hajrović and Gonzalo Escalante saw red for the hosts in the closing stages.

Both players will be suspended for the return game but given both clubs are again likely to make plenty of changes anyway it is unlikely to have much effect on the outcome. It was a 1st away win of the season for Las Palmas and back on Gran Canaria, where they are strong they’ll fancy their chances of progressing.

Las Palmas have only lost 1 of their last 7 matches at home and they’ve won 3 of their last 4 at the Estadio de Gran Canaria. Eibar though are having a good season and have won all of their last 3 matches in the league. They also won 2-0 at Las Palmas back in September and were convincing 4-0 winners at Real Betis in their last away game so this tie is by no means dead.

Eibar have been much more positive this season and trailing 3-2 they will have to go out and be bold here as even a 1-0 win for the Basques would see Las Palmas progress on the away goals rule. They have to score at least twice to stand a chance but have managed to do just that in all of their last 4 games.

As a result it should be quite an open game and given both teams have scored in all of the last 4 matches involving Las Palmas, consider backing both teams to net in this one at 4/5.

We could see a few goals as we did in the 1st leg and Eibar are likely to make a real contest of this but faced with a tough task to progress could fall just short so consider backing a 2-2 draw at 12/1.
