Las Palmas fancied to edge out Lugo
Las Palmas have performed consistently at Estadio de Gran Canaria this term and we’re backing Pepe Mel’s side to see off Lugo this Thursday.
Pio Pio were turned over 1-2 by Girona in their last start here a fortnight ago, but that marked just their fourth home reverse from 15, of which they’ve won eight.
With nine points separating them from the top six and just nine games left to play, the hosts simply have to win this if they are to start a late Play-Off push and that should spur them onto success against a Lugo side who have won just twice on the road all season.
The visitors have lost eight of their away trips in total, while they are also without a victory in their last nine Segunda outings overall, losing four.
The points were shared in December’s reverse fixture, but Las Palmas can edge matters this time around to extend their home winning sequence over Luguino to four. A tight game should be in prospect, so we’re also tipping up a 1-0 correct score.
