Real seeking back-to-back wins

Real Madrid head to Las Palmas on Thursday and they already have a bit of work to do to keep up with key rivals Barcelona.

Los Blancos have four points from their two games, while Barca are the only team who still have a 100% record after making it three wins in as many games with a 2-1 success at Rayo Vallecano on Tuesday.

Take Real to win and concede

Understandably, Real are the heavy favourites and they should be able to come away with maximum points. The Madrid giants comfortably overcame Valladolid 3-0 last time out after opening the season with a disappointing 1-1 draw with Mallorca, and they beat Las Palmas in both league games last term.

The hosts are winless in eight at home in a run that stretches back to February, but Las Palmas can at least grab a consolation effort. Los Amarillos have scored three goals in two games this term and they’ve hit five goals across their last three competitive home games, while Real have conceded in four of their last six trips in all competitions.

An away win with both teams to score appeals, and a 3-1 win for Real looks a reasonable correct score prediction. Los Blancos scored three and probably could/should have done more damage against Valladolid, and they have hit nine goals in total across their last three away games.

Kylian Mbappe scored in the UEFA Super Cup win over Atalanta but hasn’t managed to open his La Liga account yet. The Frenchman has been getting chances, however, and he can get off the mark in the Canary Islands on Thursday.
