Lazio’s European hopes reeling

Lazio’s loss to Fiorentina at the weekend was a major blow to their European ambitions. They have fallen six points shy of the top four and they’ve got just four games left to play, so they have no more room for error.

The hosts should have little trouble this week against a Parma side who have lost their last six games. In that run the visitors have been routinely thumped, showing the gulf in class between them and the best of Serie A.

Lazio have won their last five home games, scoring 17 and conceding nine in that run. We expect them to add to that against a Parma outfit who have seen four or more goals in 53% of their away games. Over 3.5 goals is our first prediction here, while we’re backing a comfortable 4-1 win for Lazio.
