Ldu Quito vs San Lorenzo Predictions
LDU Quito managed to finish 2nd in the Ecuadorian Primera A last season after losing the Championship Final 3-1 to Emelec, allowing them to qualify for the Copa Libertadores again. The South American season begins at the start of February, and so far LDU Quito have only managed to play one match after a trio of postponements, so they could be lacking in match fitness on Tuesday.
San Lorenzo also finished 2nd in their domestic league, with Boca Juniors pipping them to the post. The Argentines have started the season in impressive form as well, winning the Argentina Super Cup 4-0 against Boca and picking up ten points from their opening four games in the Primera Division. This puts them in 2nd place, level on points with top of the table Rosario Central.
Reasons for Betting Tips
San Lorenzo come into this game high on confidence after an excellent spell of form, and they will be able to cast their mind back to 2008 when they managed to hold a very good LDU Quito side to a draw in Ecuador. The home side started this season with a defeat and will be short on match fitness after a host of postponements. They ended last season rather badly as well, only winning one of their last four matches in the Primera A.
This combination of factors gives the visitors a real chance in my opinion, and the odds of 5/6 on offer are excellent value. Another 1-1 draw looks likely to me too.

Head to Head
These two sides meet in the quarter finals of the 2008 Copa Libertadores, with both legs ending 1-1 and LDU Quito progressing on penalties. The Ecuadorians went on to win the competition on penalties after a thrilling 5-5 draw on aggregate with Fluminense.
Statistics
San Lorenzo are unbeaten so far this season, with four of their five matches in February ending in victory.
Team News
LDU Quito – Central midfielder Jefferson Intriago remains out after his knee operation, with left winger Francisco Rojas joining him after being involved in a car crash.
San Lorenzo – The visitors could be without a trio of defenders coming into this game, with Matias Caruzzo, Pedro Franco, and Rodrigo Tapia all struggling.
