Leeds vs Rotherham Predictions
Both managers will be facing their former clubs in this match with Neil Redfearn returning to Elland Road and Steve Evans hosting his former employers. The changes seem to have worked out well for both clubs and both managers with Rotherham currently outside the relegation zone after some encouraging recent results and Leeds going really well under Steve Evans.
His side are unbeaten in 7 matches now and are up to 13th in the division and will have no reason not to take the FA Cup seriously given it’s hard to see them either troubling the play-off picture or getting dragged into a relegation battle.
That is less the case for Rotherham for whom survival is the absolute priority but they will still take this game quite seriously and were winners at Elland Road back in November in the league.
We should see goals at both ends in this match. Rotherham are quite attacking and score quite a lot of goals for a struggling side. They have scored in all of their last 4 matches but still suffered defeat in their last two while both teams have scored in 4 of the last 5 games involving Leeds, who will clearly be setting out to win the game. Therefore consider backing both teams to score at Evens.
Leeds have been restricted to draws in all of their last 3 games and have had a tendency to slip up at home against the weaker sides in the Championship. They couldn’t beat MK Dons in their last game at Elland Road and a repeat 1-1 scoreline is a very possible outcome here and can be backed at odds of 11/2.
