Leeds To Win To Nil

Reason for tip

Leeds look a level above Cardiff as they have managed to keep a strong squad together and boss Daniel Farke has proven himself at this level. The hosts can win without conceding against a Bluebirds outfit who struggled for goals on their travels last year.

Leeds 2-0

Reason for tip

Leeds won their final two pre-season outings without conceding, scoring three goals in total themselves. A 2-0 win for the hosts appeals as Cardiff managed just 21 goals in 23 away games last term and conceded over a goal per-game in league trips.

Luis Sinisterra To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Luis Sinisterra hit five goals in 19 league games last term for a struggling Premier League outfit and the Leeds forward could be a real threat in this division, so back him to grab a goal.

Leeds vs Cardiff Predictions

  • Leeds look a level above Cardiff after dropping down from the Premier League.
  • Cardiff scored just 21 goals in 23 league away games last season.
  • Luis Sinisterra hit five goals in 19 Premier League games last season.

Leeds can overpower Bluebirds

Leeds finally appear to be moving in the right direction following their relegation from the Premier League and the Whites have now appointed Daniel Farke as manager following a summer of uncertainty.

Farke won’t have Rodrigo, Robin Koch, Brenden Aaronson to work with, but there’s still an extremely talented and youthful squad at Elland Road and Leeds look strong Championship contenders.

Luis Sinisterra, Crysencio Summerville and Wilfried Gnonto should have a field day in the second-tier and that could start when the Whites host Cardiff on Sunday.

The Bluebirds have turned to Erol Bulut in a bid to improve their fortunes and there has been some eye-catching summer transfer business in Wales. Dimitrios Goutas, Aaron Ramsey, Yakou Meite, Karlan Grant and Ike Ugbo have all made the move to the Cardiff City Stadium and Bluebirds need an impact to improve on last season’s 21st-place finish.

Cardiff lost 13 away second-tier games in the last campaign, scoring only 21 goals in total in their travels and they look to be heading for another defeat at Elland Road.

A 2-0 win for Leeds is the correct score selection as Cardiff conceded on average over one-goal a game on their travels last term and Sinisterra appeals as a possible scorer after hitting give goals for a struggling team in 19 Premier League games last term.
