Lega so consistent at Butarque

Leganes have lost three of their last five Segunda starts but we’re backing the Madrilenians to solidify their Play-Off claims at home to Ponferradina on Monday night.

Lega’s faint hopes of a top two finish were all but ended by leaders Espanyol last time out and Asier Garitano’s charges have had a disappointing month or so overall, collecting just five points from a possible 15.

Nonetheless, they remain fourth and a comfortable five points clear of seventh placed Girona – a gap which they should be able to extend here against a Ponferradina side who are without a win in their last four league matches (D3, L1) and their last six away trips (D3, L3).

Leganes did beat Sabadell 2-1 in their last outing at Butarque and Los Pepineros have been extremely consistent on their own turf this season, winning 13 of their 17 fixtures thus far (D1, L3).
