Coming into gameweek 4 of the 2019/20 Premier League campaign, Leicester City have weathered a fairly difficult start to the season and come out the other side looking remarkably fresh.

The Foxes played out a drab goalless draw against Wolves in the opening weekend before claiming a deserved point at Stamford Bridge, and they extended their unbeaten start last weekend with a 2-1 win over the impressive Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

A midweek penalty shootout win over Newcastle in the League Cup saw them name a surprisingly strong starting lineup though, so there is every chance there could be a few weary legs on Saturday. That being said, Bournemouth also fielded a strong squad in their own penalty shootout win over Forest Green Rovers, so the tiredness effect should cancel itself out.

The Cherries have had a mixed start to the season, opening it with a disappointing draw against Sheffield United before beating Aston Villa away from home. Their 3-1 loss to Manchester City last weekend was an unsurprising setback, but the fact that they managed to find the net is a small bonus for them.

Bournemouth’s goal against the reigning Premier League champions wasn’t exactly a surprise though. Eddie Howe’s men have been among the goals for years now, opting for an attack-minded strategy that often results in incredibly entertaining matches.

For example, Bournemouth’s average of 3.32 goals per game was the highest in the Premier League last season, and 63% of their games saw at least 3 goals scored. That percentage grows to 68% when away from home, with another league-high average of 3.74 goals per game.

Leicester have looked vastly improved since Brendan Rodgers took charge in February, but they have still only kept 4 clean sheets in their 12 league games under his tutelage. 8 of these have also seen at least 3 goals scored too, so we think backing Over 2.5 Goals on Saturday is a great choice.

The hosts have won 4 of their 7 home league games under Rodgers though, and they face a Bournemouth side that have lost 11 of their last 15 on the road. The Cherries have improved away from home recently, but we’re still expecting a home win and a 2-1 correct score prediction looks the best bet.
