Leicester City vs AFC Bournemouth Predictions

Foxes appeal as underdogs

Leicester are one of five teams in the Premier League yet to pick up a win but they may be able to claim their first of the campaign when Bournemouth visit on Saturday.

The Foxes have endured a tough start on their return to the top tier after a solitary season in the Championship but they have had a tough run of games. Leicester have faced two of last season’s top four already in their opening six games, as well as Spurs, and a return of three points isn’t too bad all things considered.

Bournemouth have eight points on the board and are deserved favourites after a 3-1 win over another promoted side in Southampton last time out, but their road form hasn’t been particularly strong and Leicester look worth the risk as big price underdogs.

Steve Cooper’s side have only lost one of their four home games across all competitions this season and that was a 2-1 defeat to Champions League outfit Aston Villa. The Foxes have taken points off Spurs and Everton at home, and may be able to get the better of a Cherries side who have four defeats in their last six away games.

Goals at both ends looks likely

This could be a good fixture for both teams to score backers as there have been goals at both ends in all six of Leicester’s league games so far, while the Cherries have conceded in all four of their away games this term and in seven successive trips stretching back into last season.

Taking that into account, a 2-1 home win is the correct score prediction as this game is likely to be close but home advantage may see Leicester edge it.

Jamie Vardy has enjoyed a solid start to the season for Leicester with two goals in six games so far, and the evergreen forward can add to his haul for the season against a Bournemouth side who have shipped six goals in three away games in the league.
