      Leicester City to Win

      Reason for tip

Despite being relegated weeks ago, Leicester have picked up some form of late, taking five points from their last five games. That is as many as Ipswich have taken from their last 11 Premier League outings and the Foxes can come out on top in this battle of relegated rivals.

      Leicester City 2-1

      Reason for tip

While Ipswich look set for defeat, their 35 goals make them the top scorers out of the relegated sides and they can net in defeat at the King Power. Both teams to score has been a winning bet in seven of the Tractor Boys’ last nine away games, as well as in the last three meetings between this pair, and looks set to land again.

      Jamie Vardy To Score Anytime

      Reason for tip

Jamie Vardy’s Leicester fairytale is coming to an end and he will want to mark his final King Power appearance as a Foxes player with a goal. He was on target in Leicester’s last home match and can find the net against an Ipswich side who have shipped 44 goals in 17 League games.

      Leicester City vs Ipswich Predictions

      • Leicester have taken five points from their last five games, as many as Ipswich have earned in their last 11 league matches
      • The Tractor Boys have conceded 44 goals while winning just one of their last 17 Premier League games
      • Both teams scored in seven of Ipswich’s last nine league away games, as well as the past three meetings between this pair

Foxes fancied to continue upturn in form

Through the early weeks of the season, Ipswich looked by far the best of the three promoted sides, with Kieran McKenna’s side frustrating plenty of big teams at the start of the campaign.

However, it soon conspired that they were just as bad as their fellow promoted sides, Leicester and Southampton. All three were relegated weeks ago, meaning this clash between the Foxes and Tractor Boys is a dead rubber in the truest form of the phrase, although finishing 18th does sound a fair bit better than 19th.

That is good news for the Foxes, then, as they have picked up some momentum recently and while it has been too little too late, they will be keen to continue their form as they bid to bounce back immediately next term.

Leicester have taken five points from their last five games, as many as Ipswich have earned in their last 11 league matches, making them worthy favourites for Sunday’s showdown.

Tractor Boys bound for another defeat

Ipswich, meanwhile, have been struggling for weeks. McKenna’s men have shipped 44 goals while winning just one of their last 17 league matches and even a spirited 2-2 draw at Everton wasn’t enough to see them improve their form, losing 1-0 at home to Brentford the week after.

One of the many reasons for the Suffolk side’s relegation has been their inability to beat their fellow strugglers, with Ipswich taking just two points from their clashes against Leicester and Southampton ahead of Saturday.

Leicester, on the other hand, have taken seven points from the same fixtures, most recently beating Southampton in their last outing at the King Power, and they were the better side in the reverse fixture, winning the shot count 20-14, earning two more corners than their hosts and having 58 per cent of the possession in that 1-1 draw at Portman Road.

String of stalemates to be snapped

Punters may be tempted to back the draw given the reverse fixture marked the third straight time a head-to-head had finished 1-1, but the Foxes’ upturn in form makes them worth siding with.

They will want to give the King Power crowd a rare opportunity to cheer on Sunday, and so will Jamie Vardy, who will be playing his final game at a stadium which adores him.

Vardy was on target in the 2-0 win over Southampton and this game could see a similar story unfold, with the English forward netting as the Foxes score two goals and win.

However, seven of Ipswich’s last nine away games saw both teams find the net, suggesting they can score in defeat at the King Power.
