Leicester vs West Ham Predictions

Leicester continued their slide towards the Premier League relegation zone on Boxing Day with a 2-0 defeat at home to the out of form Everton. This defeat made it just one win from their last seven games in all competitions, and in the Premier League that record gets even worse.

They have won one, drawn three, and lost five of their last nine in the Premier League, and their previously solid home record has been reduced to rubble by just four points from their last four league games there. Three of these points came in a fantastic 4-2 win over Manchester City, but they showed absolutely none of that class against Everton on Monday.

This leaves Leicester 16th in the Premier League and just three points above the drop zone, and considering a few of the teams below them are looking in better shape than them at the moment, the King Power faithful are rightfully worried.

West Ham started their season tragically badly, and despite Slaven Bilic coming under some pressure he seems to have turned it around now. Their excellent 4-1 smashing of Swansea, which resulted in Bob Bradley’s sacking, made it three wins on the bounce for them. They are four games unbeaten as well and two of these games have come away from home.

This has pushed them up to 11th in the Premier League table, and if they can continue this form a return to the Europa League qualification positions isn’t out of sight just yet.

Michail Antonio has been their standout player all season and is turning out to be a very proficient attacker. He scored against Swansea on Monday to make it eight Premier League goals this season, and with five of them coming away from home he looks the best choice for our anytime goalscorer predictions at 21/10.

The bookies are still favouring Leicester for this one despite their shocking recent record. West Ham may have had a poor start to the season but their last three away days in the Premier League have seen them draw against Manchester United and Liverpool and beat Swansea comprehensively. Considering Leicester’s recent form, odds of 4/5 for a West Ham Win or Draw Double Chance look excellent value, and I’m backing that along with a 2-1 correct score predictions at 14/1.
