Monaco to end campaign on a high

Monaco are the best bet to win at Lens on Saturday. The hosts have won six, drawn two and lost eight at home in Ligue 1 this season, and Monaco can finish their season in style.

They are six places above Lens in the table, with the two teams separated by 12 points. Both sides have won more games than they’ve lost this season but it is Monaco who will be heading for next season’s Champions League with the visitors sitting third in the standings.

Monaco maintained their winning run last weekend, comfortably beating Lyon 2-0. The result means that Monaco have now won 14 of the 22 matches in which they have been odds-on this season.

Lens have struggled to find the net at home this season, scoring just 15 goals in 16 games. In contrast, Monaco have been potent going forward, scoring three or more goals in ten of their 33 Ligue 1 matches.

Lens have shown signs of vulnerability at the back, failing to keep a clean sheet in six of their last seven Ligue 1 games. They have also conceded in four of their last six home matches.

They have been beaten in their last two Ligue 1 home matches and four times in the last six at home.

Monaco have momentum on their side, having lost just one of their last ten Ligue 1 matches. They come into this game off the back of consecutive league wins.

No Ligue 1 side has played more games with under 2.5 goals this season than Lens, and Monaco can win 2-0 here. The hosts have lost 12 league matches this season, four of them by a 2-0 scoreline.
