Levante vs Deportivo La Coruna Predictions

New manager Rubi got his reign at Levante underway with a disappointing but hardly unexpected 3-0 defeat at city rivals Valencia last weekend. It was a 3rd straight defeat for the club and a 3rd match in a row they’d conceded 3 or more goals without netting themselves.

They find themselves bottom of the table but not cut adrift and they have only lost 1 of their last 4 home matches in La Liga so they will feel as though they are capable of getting a result here.

Especially given Deportivo haven’t won in 4 matches following on from an excellent start to the season. They held Atletico Madrid to a draw last time out at home but were beaten 2-0 at Malaga in their most recent away game and are perhaps now drifting towards their more natural standing in mid-table or lower down.

They have scored in 8 of their 10 matches so far this term and against a Levante defence that is the worst in the league, you’d expect them to do likewise here. Both teams have scored in 7 of those games though and with Levante at home and under new management you’d expect some sort of response from them and therefore backing both teams to find the net here looks a decent punt at good odds of 11/10.

It would be hard to confidently back either side to win the game outright though. Levante have only won 1 of their last 14 Primera Division matches while Depor are winless in 4 and whereas a few weeks ago you might have fancied them to come here and win, that might be a bit too much to ask now.

Therefore perhaps the most sensible way to go here is to back the draw and a 1-1 scoreline at odds of 5/1.
