Lincoln out to claim first win of the new season

Lincoln City have gotten off to a relatively good start to their campaign going unbeaten across their opening two matches. However, both of those have been draws and they’ll be keen to get a league win under their belts when they welcome the ‘Vegans’ to Lincoln. They’ll be aware that Forest Green are still in good spirits and are enjoying the fact they are playing League One football. The hosts have struggled to create chances across their opening two fixtures but a 3-0 victory over Doncaster in the EFL Cup may just provide some well needed confidence.

The visitors make the journey to the Midlands, hoping to bounce back at the first time of asking after suffering defeat last time out at home to Ipswich Town. It was clear to see that Ipswich Town had a lot of quality and boss Ian Burchnall thought they would be “right up there” come the end of the season. We are looking forward to this one. We think both sides will set up in a way that means chances will be created fairly regularly but it’s difficult to separate the two in terms of who will win.
