Liverpool vs Rubin Kazan Betting Tips

Jurgen Klopp got his managerial reign of Liverpool off to a fairly decent start on Saturday when he instilled some grit into the side to battle to a goalless draw at White Hart Lane.

But despite their increased work rate Liverpool still didn’t seem like a side capable of scoring, especially now Danny Ings and Daniel Sturridge are out injured again.

Their form at the moment illustrates their lack of winning mentality, with their only victory in their last ten games being a 3-2 win over the dreadful Aston Villa.

This all leaves them in 10^th place in the Premier League, whilst their 1-1 draws against Bordeaux and Sion put them in 2^nd position in Europa League Group B.

But this is as good a time as any for Liverpool to get a win. They have a passionate and talented manager at the helm trying to instil some fight into the team and they face an out of form side at Anfield.

Rubin Kazan’s 3-1 win over Ufa on Saturday was their first in seven matches, with four of the previous six ending in defeat for the Russians.

This poor form started when Group B leaders Sion beat them 2-1 in the opening round of Europa League, and this result coupled with their goalless draw at home to Bordeaux sees them occupy the bottom of the group.

The bookies are obviously in agreement that this is a great chance for Liverpool, and odds of 4/9 for a Liverpool win seem a bit too short. However, considering six of Liverpool’s last seven games have ended with less than three goals I think odds of 4/5 for Under 2.5 Goals are good value.
