Lorient are the best bet when they host Angers on Sunday. Olivier Pantaloni’s side save their best for when they play in front of their own fans, where they have won five, drawn four and lost just one in Ligue 1.

Angers are ninth in Ligue 1, two places above Lorient, with just a one-point gap between them. Angers have eight wins, five draws and eight defeats from their 21 games this season, while Lorient have won seven, drawn seven and lost seven.

Lorient have lost just one of their last ten home games in Ligue 1, going eight unbeaten in that run. They have won three of their last four on home turf.

Goals have proved easy to come by for Lorient lately, with the hosts finding the net at least twice in three of their last four Ligue 1 games.

Angers have been disappointing in front of goal away from home this season, scoring just six goals in ten games – an average of 0.60 goals a game on the road.

A narrow 1-0 win for Lorient looks the most likely outcome. No team has had more games with under 2.5 goals in Ligue 1 than Angers this term (15), and five of their eight defeats have come by the odd goal.
