This clash has all the makings of a stalemate. Both of these sides are in bad form and may well settle for a point to address their recent slumps. Lorient are battling to avoid the drop this season and they may well fancy their chances of ending their dreadful recent run in this one. It’s now 13 games without a win for Sunday’s hosts who last tasted victory at home to Nice back in September. Angers aren’t in particularly good form themselves and have only won one of their last six.

All roads point to a draw

All roads seem to point to a draw on Sunday afternoon. Both of these teams can be dubbed draw specialists. Combined these teams have played 38 Ligue 1 matches this campaign and between them have managed 14 draws, seven apiece. I am happy to side with the stats in this one. Both sides would probably be content with a point and I will predict this one finishing in a draw with my correct score prediction being 1-1.
