Ludogorets vs Tottenham Hotspur Predictions

  • Spurs have won five of their last seven matches in all competitions but have conceded in all but two of those games.
  • Both teams have scored in nine of Spurs’ 13 competitive games this term.
  • Ludogorets have lost both of their Group J outings to date but have netted in both, scoring four goals in total.

Spurs to Strike Back in Razgrad

Tottenham suffered a shock 1-0 reverse away to Royal Antwerp last Thursday, but Jose Mourinho’s side should get their Europa League campaign back on track this week when they face Ludogorets who are bottom of Group J after two defeats from two.

Mourinho didn’t exactly hide his displeasure following Spurs’ lackadaisical showing in Belgium seven days ago and his side are likely to be fully switched on this time around as they look to move a step closer to Last 32 qualification.

They responded with a hard fought 2-1 success over Brighton in the Premier League on Monday and all in all it’s been a decent start to the season for the North Londoners. They sit third in the table after collecting 14 points from a possible 21 and will be too good for Ludogorets here assuming they apply themselves properly.

The Bulgarian champions are once again coasting domestically following seven wins and two draws from ten outings, but they’re evidently struggling to deal with the step-up in class of opposition that they’re facing in midweek.

Thursday’s hosts have lost to Antwerp (1-2) and LASK (4-3) so far, so there’s nothing to suggest that they can oust top quality Premier League opposition.

Nonetheless, punters are advised to enhance Spurs’ odds for the points by throwing both teams to score into the mix too. That’s been the outcome in nine of Spurs’ 13 competitive games this term and Mourinho’s men have conceded in five of their last seven matches.

With Ludogorets netting four goals in the Group Stage despite two defeats we think this looks a solid wager, but the away side should ultimately prove too strong and a 1-3 score-line is forecasted in Spurs’ favour.
