Harrogate hoping to make history once more

This is first time in Harrogate Town’s 108-year history that they have reached the 3^rd round of the FA Cup. Having beaten Wrexham and Portsmouth to get to this point, Harrogate will be hoping for another slice of history on Saturday by beating Luton and progressing into the 4^th round.

Harrogate come into this in particularly good form on the road. They have only lost once in their last six away games, a run which included the 2-1 success at Portsmouth in the 2^nd round. Harrogate’s fondness for their travels this season sees them hold League Two’s 5^th best away record.

A good time to catch Luton

Covid issues have meant that Luton last played on the 11^{th of} December, a respectable 1-1 draw at home to Fulham. Given the extended four-week break that has proceeded that game, I am hoping Harrogate can fly out of the gates and catch Luton cold.

Prior to the enforced four-week hiatus, Luton had been on a poor run of form. One win in their last six matches sees them sit in 16^th place in the Championship more worried about those below them than above.  At a working man’s price, I’ll take a chance on Harrogate exploiting The Hatters rustiness and progressing into the 4^th round.
