Villa set to boost morale

Coventry and Aston Villa have both endured woeful starts to the season, but Unai Emery’s side look the most likely to give themselves a much-needed confidence boost on Wednesday.

The visitors have picked up just one point from four Premier League outings, but they did end their winless start at Club Brugge last week and have the benefit of coming up against a side in dire straits.

The Sky Blues have lost four of their five competitive games, only succeeding against Plymouth in the last round of the EFL Cup. They have failed to score in each of their four losses and, after suffering a 5-0 drubbing at home to Brighton on Sunday, their morale will be at an all-time low.

This should open the door for Villa to get the win and, with two of Coventry’s last three ending 1-0, that looks a solid correct score prediction.
