Lyon back in action after postponement

Lyon’s second match against Lorient was postponed due to an unsuitable ground last weekend. Now they enter this match hoping to secure back-to-back victories in their opening two matches for the first time since 2018/19. The hosts will be confident of doing just that given they have won eight of their last ten games in the league and they also have a fantastic record against the visitors. Peter Bosz will hope his side can make it ten victories on the spin against Troyes.

The visitors have a big task on their hand as four teams will be relegated from the top flight this season. They need to kick start their season after successive defeats across their opening two matches, conceding three goals in that time. Another defeat here would also see coach Bruno Irles become the first Troyes manager this century to lose the opening three matches of a Ligue 1 campaign.

Hosts to secure another victory

The hosts are dominant when these two meet and they will be exceptionally happy with the start they have made. We like the hosts to win with at least three goals being scored and whilst they can cover that goal count on their own, we think Troyes can fashion enough chances to hit the back of the net.
