Macedonia vs Ukraine Betting Tips

Minnows Macedonia were always going to find it difficult coming into a group alongside the likes of Spain, Ukraine, and Slovakia, but they have at least managed to put some points on the board with a win over fellow underdogs Luxembourg.

This win came in their second group match of the qualifying campaign, and since then they have lost all six of their following competitive matches, with a friendly draw against Australia splitting up the run of defeats.

This leaves them at the bottom of Euro 2016 Qualifying Group C, with Luxembourg a point above them in 5^th position. They will be hoping to pick up at least a point in either this match of the one against Belarus in order to not finish bottom of the group.

The point is more likely to come from the game against Belarus though. Ukraine still have it all to play for in this campaign, and each point is vital in a tight race for an automatic qualification position.

They are currently in 3^rd position in the group, three points behind Slovakia in 2^nd place and five points off group leaders Spain. They do still have to host Spain in the final round of matches, so a win on Friday could be crucial for their chances.

Their last match was a goalless draw at Slovakia, and they have won both fixtures against Belarus and Luxembourg. However, it will be their home loss to Slovakia and their defeat in Spain that could make the difference when the points are tallied at the start of next week.

Ukraine have only conceded three goals in their eight qualifying matches so far, and two of those came against Spain and Slovakia. Add to this the fact that Macedonia have only managed to net twice in the seven matches since their win over Luxembourg and I think odds of 5/6 for Ukraine to Win to Nil are excellent value.
