Barca are unlikely to change

Despite limited signings, it’s been another chaotic summer for Barcelona. The club added goalkeeper Joan Garcia from rivals Espanyol, while they turned to Marcus Rashford after missing out on Nico Williams. The Catalans had another nervy wait to register their new signings, which included a public battle with captain Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

Barca didn’t need many improvements, having scored 102 goals on their way to the Spanish title last term. Hansi Flick’s adventurous style makes them incredible to watch, but it’s hard to escape the feeling that they went overboard at San Siro against Inter Milan following the Champions League final.

Barca scored 2.63 goals per game on their travels last season, while Lamine Yamal is only going to get better. Ferran Torres is set to fill in for Robert Lewandowski up front against Mallorca, which should see some impressive dovetailing between him, Raphinha and Yamal.

Barca won 5-1 in this fixture last term, so the goal line here looks generous even with Lewandowski expected to miss out. Over 2.5 landed in seven of their final eight games last term, while they scored 20 times across four preseason games.
