      Manchester City vs Leicester Predictions

When the fixture list was announced back in the summer of 2015 who would have looked at this match up and thought that it could be a title decider? Not many that’s for sure. If Premier League leaders Leicester win this match they will move six points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table, but if they lose the 2nd placed side will lead them on goal difference.

Manchester City are in good form as well. They haven’t lost any of their last seven matches in all competitions and have won five times.

They are even more formidable at the Etihad, where they have won seven and drawn one of their last eight matches. Manchester City have picked up 28 points from their 12 home matches in the Premier League this season, but they are coming up against a Leicester side with the best away record in the league.

Leicester have managed 25 points from their 12 away days in the league, losing just once and winning seven times. Overall, they have won back to back matches and picked up three wins, a draw, and a defeat in their last five outings. Away from home Leicester have won five of their last eight games and lost once.

The two key men in this fixture will be Jamie Vardy and Segio Aguero. They are undoubtedly the best goalscoring players in their respective teams and both are getting back to form after minor spells of dipped form.

Jamie Vardy scored a brace against Liverpool on Tuesday, including a sensational half volley that will be a contender for goal of the season. Aguero’s first half goal was the deciding factor in Manchester City’s 1-0 win over Sunderland as well.

These are the two highest scoring teams in the Premier League and they both have in form strikers available to them. Manchester City’s excellent scoring record at home can’t be ignored either. This makes odds of 4/6 for Over 2.5 Match Goals look good value for money, and I’m also going for a 2-2 draw at 16/1.
